Zaire: Mbanza Kongo ready for FestiKongo2019

Mbanza Kongo - The facelift works in the capital of the northern Zaire province’s historic sites are in the final phase, ahead of the first edition of the International Festival of Culture and Arts (Festikongo) on 5-8 July, 2019.

Zaire: Requalification works at Kulumbimbi area

This was confirmed by the director of the Provincial Office of Culture, Youth and Sports, Tourism and Hotel, Biluka Nsakala Nsenga.

He confirmed ongoing requalification works in Mbanza Kongo city that include the creation of green areas and paving of crosswalks.

He also mentioned the installation of a lighting system at Cathedral See and the Kongo Kings Cemetery.

Also deputy chairman of Historical Site Participatory Management Committee of Mbanza Kongo, created under presidential decree, Biluka Nsenga highlighted the contribution of businessmen from the hotel sector to decent accommodation for visitors.

He put at more than 300 rooms the number available in various sites, with stress to hotels, residences and similar units, also based in Mbanza Kongo city.
