CPLP Biennial happens this Month

Luanda - The 9th edition of the Biennial of Young Creators of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), scheduled for July, will now take place from 24 to 28 June in the Angolan capital, Luanda, with the participation of 200 young people, in the average of 20 per country.

Luanda hosts CPLP Biennial of creators this Month

The event will be filled with activities in the areas of visual arts (sculpture, painting, photography, engraving, graffiti and digital arts), arts and performance (music, dance, theatre, urban interventions), applied arts (prose and poetry) and audiovisual (short and medium, long and medium length films, documentaries and fiction).

The Museum of Military History will house the exhibition areas, with 27 tents distributed along the corridor, with spaces for fashion, jewelry, music, literature, among other services.

The team responsible for the organization and journalistic coverage will have an area called "Posto de Comando", with two tents of three square meters.

The entrance to the Biennial will be prepared with two informative panels, and all exhibition area will have proper lighting, as well as signs of identification of the countries.

The biennial event is a space for dialogue and multicultural and artistic exchanges between young people, which takes place every two years in one member country of the organization.

In parallel to the biennial, the CPLP Youth Forum, the meeting of the youth and sports general managers, and the II Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports will be held.

The data have been released by the National Director for Youth Issues, Kikas Machado, during a meeting with the CPLP ambassadors accredited to Angola.

On the other hand, the minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula Sacramento, who presided over the meeting, considered it imperative to involve the dialogue at the highest level of embassy representations, in order to eliminate any obstacle and guarantee a good stay and participation of the foreign delegations.

The Brazilian ambassador, Paulino de Carvalho Neto, who confirmed the participation of the Brazilian delegation, congratulated the Angolan organization for initiating dialogue with the diplomatic representations of the CPLP to explain and facilitate any procedure to welcome the participants.

The CPLP is made up of Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, East Timor and Equatorial Guinea.
