Artist Don Sebas Cassule exhibits Geographic Travel Memories

Luanda - The plastic artist Don Sebas Cassule exhibits since last Tuesday, "Geographical Travels Memories of Affection Statement", at the Portuguese Cultural Center, in Luanda.

The solo exhibition comprises 14 frames showing artistic expressions, using paintings, installation, photography, using acrylic style and plywood collage among others.

According Don Sebas Cassule, with the showcase he intends to promote a reflection about the transculturality effect throughout the experience of intimate narratives which explains the experience influence of African artists for the construction of works with European and American references.

The creator does a reflection of several moments since he left his native village, Camabatela, in the northern central region province of Cuanza Norte, passing through Luanda and going to the major culture, visual and plastic arts centers.

He explained that during his visit to some museums abroad and in Angola he had contact with works by world-renowned artists.

 Regarding the current state of the plastic arts, he stressed difficulties, especially in spaces to exhibit, to be recognized and integrated.

He has two prizes, first “5th Regional Council Prize of PACA “Roubion City” (France), second “Honored Guest of Alexi Mori” in Grand International Prize of Plastic Arts L'Aigle de Nice”, in Nice city, France in 1998   

In November 2007, at the International Plastic Arts Award “L'Aigle de Nice”, was awarded with Prize of Merit.
