Arts festival encourages creation and research

Luanda - The CEARTE Arts Arena Cultural Festival is an incentive for the creation, research at arts level, strengthening and production of Angolan cultural roots, considered Monday, in Luanda, the Secretary of State for Cultural and Creative Industries, João Constantino.

Speaking at the opening of the event, which will take place until October 25th, the official stressed that it is an effort dedicated to the training of national high technicians in the areas of visual and visual arts, cinema, dance, music and theater.

For João Constantino, the group  of finalists of 2019 of the institution will allow to expand the number of technical staff in these vital areas for the enrichment and preservation of the national culture.

In his turn, the director general of the Polytechnic Institute of Arts (CEARTE), Eusébio Pinto, said that the festival includes artistic presentations, fairs, lectures and a set of integrated works at art level, and aims to show the public the work of artistic teaching of the institution over the years.

He said that the festival also aims to make participants aware of what is done at CEART, and to be able to make direct contact with what their teaching work has been.

He stressed that the institution's goals are to equip some missing divisions, to set up the boarding school, as well as to receive students from other countries that are part of SADC and PALOP.
