Carolina Cerqueira - who was speaking at the briefing ceremony and presentation of the newly appointed official in charge of the abovementioned ministerial department, Adjany Costa - stressed that cohesion, inclusion, multiplicity of ideas and innovative vision must be the motto of the work team of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment, taking into account the new national paradigm.
Culture and tourism, said Carolina Cerqueira, are sectors that are able to generate jobs and resources to leverage the Angolan economy.
According to Carolina Cerqueira, there must be a combination of efforts and articulation of ideas to provide the sustainable development of arts, tourism, and always taking into account the protection and preservation of the environment.
Boosting domestic tourism, to think about the international market, according to the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Environment, Adjany Costa, is one of the focuses for her mandate, without neglecting, however, human resources and the preservation and promotion of Angolan cultural identity.
Adjany Costa pointed out as the first challenge the integration of the three sectors that previously constituted autonomous ministerial departments.
The minister added that the innovative spirit, the protection of the ecosystem and the integration of cultural aspects are values that should now be part of the lexicon of the Ministry.
According to Adjany Costa, the simultaneous and balanced development of the three sectors necessarily involves the creation of mechanisms that contribute to the creation of a strong cultural and tourist industry.
