President swears in Government officials

Luanda – The Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, Monday in Luanda, swore in the ministers of Foreign Affairs and Urbanisation and Construction, Georges Rebelo Chicoti and Fernando Alberto Soares da Fonseca, respectively.

Appointed on Friday last week, also sworn in were Manuel Domingos Augusto, as i secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Rui Jorge Carneiro Mangueira for Administrative Organisation of the same ministry.

Also invested were the Luanda governor, José Maria Ferraz dos Santos and the deputy governors of northern Bengo province for Economic Affairs, Domingos Guilherme, Political and Social Affairs, Elvira Peregrina de Jesus Van-Dúnem, and Technical Services and Infrastructures, Pedro Jorge Bessa Neto.

Ana Maria Mvuayi, Afonso Jorge Assafe and Andrade Adolfo were also sworn in as deputy governors of central Bié province for Economic Affairs, Political and Social Affairs and Technical Services and Infrastructures, respectively.

For central Benguela province the head of State swore in the deputy governors Estevão Felizardo (Economic Affairs), Eliseu Epalanga Domingos (Political and Social Affairs) and Henrique António Calengue (Technical Services and infrastructures).

José Eduardo dos Santos also invested deputy governors for the above mentioned posts in the provinces of Cabinda (north), Cunene (south), Kwanza Norte (north), Kwanza Sul (centre), Kuando Kubango (south-east).

Central Huambo province also gained deputy governors for the Economic, Political and Social and Technical Services and Infrastructures, sworn in on Monday by the president of the Republic.
Deputy governors were also invested for the provinces of Huila (south), Luanda, Lunda Norte(north-east), Lunda Sul (north-east) , Moxico (east), Malanje (north), Namibe (south-west) Uíge (north), Zaire north).

Former Luanda province’s deputy governor for Technical Affairs, Bento dos Santos Fragoso Soito, was sworn in as director of the Technical Office for the  upgrade of the capital’s high density districts of Cazenga and Sambizanga.
