President Eduardo dos Santos' message handed over to South Sudan counterpart

Luanda – A message from the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, to South Sudan president, Salva Kiir Mayardit, was handed over last Sunday, in Juba, by the secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, ANGOP learnt at the capital city of the world’s newest country’s.
The handover ceremony happened during an audience granted to Manuel Augusto by South Sudan minister of Home Affairs, Gier Chuang Along, representing his Head of State.
Speaking to the press, Manuel Augusto said that the meeting served to salute the government and people of South Sudan, on behalf of the Angolan president, for the conquest of independence and discuss with the authorities areas in which the country can be useful.
The diplomat said that at the occasion he transmitted Angola’s availability to support South Sudan with its experience and knowledge, in every possible domain.
The Angolan delegation included the ruling MPLA party secretary for External Relations, Afonso Van-Dúnem Mbinda, Angolan Armed Forces (FAA)’s deputy chief of staff, general Jorge Barros "Nguto" and the ambassador Dombele Bernardo.
