Johannesburg - The outgoing Angolan ambassador to South Africa, Miguel Gaspar Neto, has considered in Luanda that the level of the co-operation relations between the two countries is excellent, reinforced with the arrival in power of President Jacob Zuma, ANGOP has learnt.

The diplomat said so at a farewell meeting with the chairman of the local ruling party (ANC), Baleka Mbete, and said that the two states have relations that date back long time ago.

In his opinion, these relations that date back to the time of national liberation struggle are more and more obvious, since many South Africans consider Angola as their second home.

The ambassador said there are accords between the two countries in the domains of diplomacy, police, immigration, health and education, media, environment, urbanisation, fisheries, youth and sports, among others.

The ambassador also mentioned that the Angolan authorities would like to spur other co-operation areas, such as agriculture, social assistance, energy, waters, mining, commerce, industry and housing.
