Luanda – The National Assembly (Angolan Parliament) Thursday in Luanda approved the request for authorisation for the head of State to legislate on the definition of the general strategic bases for the award of oil blocks on onshore zones of the Kwanza and Low Congo basins, Angop learned.
The document which was approved with 124 votes in favour, eight against and 29 abstentions, was presented to the National Assembly by the Oil minister, Botelho de Vasconcelos.
The MPs also passed the minute related to the 8th ordinary plenary session of the House, held on June 27, and the activity preceded by the political statements of the heads of parliamentary bench of opposition FNLA, PRS, CASA-CE, UNITA and ruling MPLA parties.
Meanwhile, MP António Paulo Kassoma with the ruling MPLA party was replaced by Joaquim David, as the former has been appointed to for a position incompatible with that of lawmaker.
The MP with CASA-CE, Carlos Tiago Kandanda, was replaced by Manuel Fernandes from the post of the fourth vice speaker of the National Assembly.
The sessions were chaired by National Assembly speaker , Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
