Angola: Diplomats regret death of nationalist Afonso Van-Dúnem"Mbinda"
Luanda - The Angolan diplomats accredited in overseas continue to address condolence messages for the death of the nationalist Afonso Domingos Pedro Van-dúnem (Mbinda), who passed away on Friday in Luanda.

Born in Luanda on September 7, 1941, Afonso Domingos Pedro Van-Dúnem had been Secretary of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the ruling MPLA for International Relations until his death.
“His death leaves a void in the arena of the Angolan diplomacy and it represents a huge loss for his family, as well as for our country”, reads a message from the Angolan embassy in Zimbabwe sent to the managing board of MPLA, signed by the ambassador Pedro Vaal Neto.
The ambassador expresses his heart-felt sympathy to the mourning family and those ones that followed the trajectory of Afonso Van-dúnem “Mbinda”.
The Angolan embassy in USA expresses its consternation for the death of the nationalist, who always contributed with his knowledge and abnegation to the cause of the Angolan people”.
The general consul of Angola in Houston, Júlia Machado, highlights the qualities of the deceased nationalist, who dedicated himself at young age the cause of national liberation and defence of ideas of democracy, peace and well-being of the Angolan people.
