Angola: Higher Education War School closes 2014 academic year

Luanda - The Higher Education War School (ESG) ended on Thursday in Luanda the 2014 academic year after a series of training activities that aimed at updating, upgrading and improving the performance of the tasks of command, management and headquarters of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).

So, student officers, among generals, admirals, commissioners, senior officers and captains of the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces, National Police and sister countries in Africa have successfully completed the courses  that took place from  February 24 to December 18 in that institution for military education.

The closing ceremony was led by the FAA deputy chief of Staff for the operative and development area, general Jorge Barros Nguto, who praised the performance of learners,  as well as the national, Russian and Portuguese teachers.

In his speech, the official said that the various subjects taught in the course are very important and serve to broaden the horizons and the culture of the military officers in the areas such as military science, according to the reality of the country and internationally, particularly in the southern African region.

The Higher Education War School is the senior military educational institution of higher level education system of the Angolan Armed Forces.
