Angolan President congratulates Jacob Zuma on re-election

Luanda - The Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, congratulated his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma and ANC on the victory achieved in the general elections recently held in South Africa, Angop learnt on Thursday in Luanda.

"On behalf of the Angolan government and his own, auguring him a new happy and successful mandate, toward to his People ", reads a message that reached Angop.

In this message, José Eduardo dos Santos said that the achieved results reflect on the free will and sovereignty expressed in the elections by the South Africans, unequivocally, reaffirmed the wish of continuing to have "Jacob Zuma and ANC" in charge of their destinies.

In another message, the Angolan Head of State commended President of Israel, Shimon Peres, on one more anniversary of the Independence Day of that Middle-east country.

"Accept, your Excellency, my best wishes of good disposition and personal well-being for him and happiness for the Israeli people ", reads the note.

The message also states that the Angolan statesman also commended the President of Algeria, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on his re-election.

According to the congratulation message, the Angolan President reaffirms the trust that the Algerian people have in their leadership to face the challenges of the preservation of peace, national unity, social and economic development.

The President of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowiski was also congratulated by the Angolan Head of State on the occasion of the Polish national festivity.

The Angolan President reiterated the wish of his government to strengthen the existing friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries.
