National Air Force academy role in building of FAA highlighted

Lobito - The commander of the National Air Force, gen. Francisco Afonso "Hanga", said on Friday in Catumbela municipality, coastal Benguela province, that the inauguration of the National Air Force Academy is a decisive step towards building the Angolan Armed Forces ( FAA).

According to the general, the institution will fulfill its social role within the military organisation, whose conditions for the start of courses, ranging from equipment to human resources, have been  created.

"We are fully aware that the future is immediate and its construction requires everyone's engagement and sacrifice aiming to achieve improvement," he said.

Taking into account the acceptable implementation of tasks related to various training areas, either piloting or tactical command, the sector asked professors as well as military and civilian competent lecturers.

The National Air Force Academy is tasked with training officers of permanent staff in military degree in piloting specialties and tactical command and military administration.
