Angola: MAT calls for adherence to electoral registration

Luanda - Angola's minister of Territory Administration, Bornito de Sousa, on Monday renewed the appeal to those over 18 to join the electoral registration so as to participate in the 2017 elections.

Bornito de Sousa was speaking at the yearend greetings ceremony to the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, at Luanda’s Presidential Palace.

He considered crucial for the success of the elections that citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to participate in the process.

The minister recalled that on Tuesday the first phase ends, underlining that the elections will be one of the greatest challenges of the Angolan State for 2017.

The officials added that although the National Electoral Commission (CNE) is the key, the government will have a role to play.
