Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the forum on "The role of civil society and the media", in the context of the general elections of 2017, the politician said that observers, in a systematic and comprehensive manner, provide transparency and credibility.
He considered necessary for permanent observers to monitor electoral processes from start to the end and not only at the time of scrutiny.
In appreciating the approaches around the topics "Domestic and international electoral observation" and "The media and elections", the politician said they contribute to improve the aspects still deficient in the Angolan electoral process.
In this regard, he advocated the need for political parties, civil society and other living forces in the country to build internal capacities for this purpose.
He praised the promoters of the forum and encouraged them to continue on this path, and also defended the regulation of the Press Law.
