During the meeting at the headquarters of the ruling party, the French diplomat was briefed on the main topics on the MPLA electoral agenda.

On the other hand, commenting on the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Sylvain Itté said France remains committed to supporting the ongoing process of diversification of the Angolan economy.

According to him, France’s support for the Angolan economy diversification is focused on the agro-food sector, in which the country has a great potential.

He also praised the way the leader of the ruling MPLA party and head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, is leading his succession, considering it an example to other African countries.

On Wednesday, the ruling party secretary general received in audience the US and Namibian ambassadors to Angola, Helena La Lime and Grace Ndadaleka Uushona, respectively.
