Angola: Creation of nine private higher education institutions approved

Luanda - The Government approved Wednesday the creation of nine new private higher education institutions, according to a press released reached Angop.

4th Ordinary session of cabinet council

This was during the 4th Ordinary Session of Cabinet Council chaired by the vice President of Republic, Manuel Vicente.

Received Cabinet's thumbs up were the higher polytechnic institutes of Viana and Higher Sports school, both in Luanda province.

Created were the Higher Polytechnic Institutes of the northern Zaire province as well as Cardinal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento and Catepa (Malanje), Caála (Huambo) and Walinga (Moxico)

Instituted were also Polytechnic Institutes of Cuíto (Bié) and Uíge, according to the communique.

The sources also mentioned the Polytechnic Health Institute of Multiperfil, with headquarters in Luanda that will run graduate and postgraduate courses, as well as, scientific research in the area of ??the health sciences.

The interim minister of Higher Education, António Miguel André, said that the initiative will help the young people to pursue higher education.
