Angola: FNLA governance programme based on nine axes

Luanda - The governance programme of the opposition FNLA party, among the candidates for the country's general elections on August 23, presented on Tuesday in Luanda, is based on nine main axes.

Reading the document, the party's leader and presidential candidate Lucas Ngonda said that the 1st axis, linked to the State Reform, highlights the creation of a high authority to combat corruption.

The 2nd deals with the maintenance of the Republican form of the Angolan State.

While, the 3rd and 4rd are relate to the secularity and consolidation of democratic and Law-abiding State, respectively.

The 5th features the social reforms, with focus on the education and health sectors.

The 6th axis defines a cultural policy for Angola as an African country, while the 7th aspects has to do with the consolidation of the national reconciliation process.

Still the 8th is related to the economic reforms, provides for the creation of a healthy monetary policy to support the national business.

The last axis (9th) is about the Angola's foreign policy review. As for this aspect, the party leader proposes to broaden and give another dynamic to its relationship with countries of the world's great democracies and those where the national interest dictate the need for new bilateral agreements.

At the end of the ceremony, witnessed by representatives of the diplomatic corps, religious and academic society, Lucas Ngonda said to expect an electoral process that runs smoothly.
