Angola: CASA-CE holds Consultative Council in Lubango

Luanda - Angola's CASA-CE coalition announced it will run national Consultative Council on 19 - 21 July in the southern Huíla province, to present its governance programme for 2017 -2022.

The leader of that political organisation, Abel Chivucuvuku, announced this Thursday at the opening of a methodological seminar on the theme "The conquest and defence of the vote".

The meeting was addressed to the provincial secretaries of that third largest political force in the country.

In addition to the Consultative Council, according to the politician, Huíla province will  host the official launching ceremony of the electoral campaign of the coalition, which starts on July 21 across the country.

In Huíla, CASA-CE will take stock of its pre-campaign and structuring of the action programmes as well as all the actions to be conducted during the election of August.

In his speech, Abel Chivucuvuku said that it was essential to consolidate and gain the confidence of the citizens, adding that the vote  must match the expectations.

In the country's polls, set for 23 August, CASA-CE is vying for 220 places at National Assembly along with MPLA (ruling party) and the opposition UNITA, PRS, FNLA and APN.
