Elections2017: PRS hunts for votes in Namibe

Moçâmedes - The president of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), Benedito Daniel, is since Thursday in Namibe province, as part of the election campaign for the August 23 election.

In Namibe, Benedito Daniel will meet with the provincial governor, members of the Ministry of Interior and ecclesiastical entities.

The programme also includes a meeting with the traditional authorities and a visit to the informal market "5 de Abril".

Speaking to ANGOP, the PRS provincial secretary, Estêvão Muele, pointed out that the party is carrying out campaigns to raise awareness among the population to participate actively in the election.

The programme also includes a march in various roads of the city to spread the image of the presidential candidate and the party.

The politician said that the militants have carried out several door-to-door activities in the five municipalities of Moçâmedes, Virei, Kamucuio, Bibala and Tômbwa, in order to sensitize the population to participate in the process in a civic way.

Namibe has an electoral population of 160.285 voters.
