Child trafficking to DRC aborted
Mbanza Kongo - The National Police assigned at Luvo border post in Mbanza Kongo northern Zaire province has aborted in the last seven days an attempt of 8-years-old child trafficking that was being transported to the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The Provincial Command of Zaire of the National Police reports in a press note addressed to Angop Friday that the incident occurred when a citizen from DRC, identified by Kunga Júnior, 22, tried to cross Luvo border along with a eight-year old child, without any documentation that identifies the kid.

Mbanza Kongo - At least 130 citizens from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) who were charged for illegal stay in Luvo border commune in Mbanza Kongo municipality, northern Zaire province, have been repatriated in the last seven days by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME).

Mbanza Kongo - An extension of 4.2 million square meters for the installation of an electric power transmission line on the Mbanza Kongo/Cuimba road section, Zaire province, is being demined since this month of September by the National Institute of Demining (INAD).
