SME expels 130 DRC citizens due to illegal stay

Mbanza Kongo - At least 130 citizens from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) who were charged for illegal stay in Luvo border commune in Mbanza Kongo municipality, northern Zaire province, have been repatriated in the last seven days by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME).

This fact is contained in an SME statement, released Monday in Mbanza Kongo, stressing that 54 of this number are female.

According to the source, illegal immigrants were detained following the routine operations carried out by SME personnel in the region in partnership with the National Police.

Luvo border commune is 60 kilometers north of the town of Mbanza Kongo, northern Zaire province.
