Speaking to ANGOP on Friday, the coordinator of the NATRRL, João Miguel, said he expected permanent search for a statute that dignifies the traditional authorities, both in terms of salary and the prestige within the communities.
According to him, there is a draft statute to be approved in the third meeting of traditional authorities, whose implementation depends on contacts with the current leadership of the Ministry of Territory Administration and State Reform.
In his inauguration address, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, described the church and traditional authorities as state partners with key role to ensure the harmonisation and moral raising of society.
