The politician, who was speaking at the opening of the meeting with UNITA officials in the province, asked the new government formed after the general elections of August 23, 2017 to improve the distribution of national income to citizens to end poverty.

Isaias Samakuva, who considered positive the path the country is taking in the last 100 days of João Lourenço's governance, maintained the Government’s need fundamental to fight against corruption, judging by the progress that Angolans intend to achieve in the coming years.

According to him, UNITA will "pressure" the Government to materialize the inclusion and participation of Angolan citizens in the governmental actions, mainly inside the provinces of the country.

The leader of the largest opposition party called for the need for the state to be de-partisan as soon as possible to allow the Government to successfully implement the programs that he proposed to the electorate that voted him last year.
