Cabinda: Army chief reiterates better training of effectives
Cabinda - The Angolan Army commander, general Gouveia João Sá Miranda, last Thursday defended a continuous improvement of staff training within the armed forces, as well as better organisation of the reserve and retirement procedures.

The commander expressed such stance in the northern Cabinda Province, at the opening ceremony of the first meeting of the Army Higher Council.
Gouveia João Sá Miranda said the Army has to keep its cohesion and readiness, which demands better monitoring over the military effectives, maintenance and conservation of the technical means and weaponry, as well the strengthening of the preventive measures, ethics, moral and patriotic education of the troops.
He appealed for greater rigour in the application of the rules in the Army, with a view to achieving the desired excellence.
He reminded that there is an ongoing reform process taking place in the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), which is intended to rejuvenate the Army as well, so that it can be better adjusted to the demands of the modern world.
The meeting is set to end this Friday.
