Accompanied by the governor of Luanda, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, and several ministers, the Head of the Government was informed that the completion of the work is conditioned to the financial availability and the rehousing of the families that live along the infrastructure.

The director general of the technical unit of sanitation of Luanda, Manuel Van-Dúnem, said that it is essential to update the record of the number of families living along the ditches, considering that three years ago there were 32 aggregates relatives to relocate.

He reported that the construction works of the trench, begun six years ago, valued at 136 million dollars and have already been executed in 93 percent, with 264 kilometers of sanitation network.

Manuel Van-Dúnem regretted the fact that the works were withdrawn from the Public Investment Program of 2018, for alleged financial situation.

President João Lourenço held a courtesy meeting with the governor of Luanda, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, and the program includes visits to schools, refurbishment works for Futungo de Belas and the Mussulo peninsula.
