President receives message from Cape Verdean counterpart
Luanda - A message from the President of Cape Verde, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, was delivered Tuesday in Luanda to the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço.

The bearer of the message is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Communities and Defense of Cape Verde, Luís Filipe Tavares, who was received in audience at the Presidential Palace.
During the meeting, Luís Tavares told journalists that he had sent the Angolan statesman an invitation from the Cape Verdean counterpart to visit the Republic of Cape Verde this year.
According to the envoy, the Head of State of Cape Verde also invited the Angolan President to participate in the Summit of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP), which the island hosts in July this year.
As for the cooperation relations between the two countries, he said that the government he represents aims to deepen existing bilateral ties, with emphasis on the economic and business sectors, especially in the subsectors of fisheries, tourism, maritime and air transport.
