New Intelligence Service boss appointed
Luanda - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, on Monday appointed Fernando Garcia Miala to the post of head of the Intelligence and State Security Service (SINSE).

According to a note from the Head of State’s Civil Office, João Lourenço - in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief and after consulting the National Security Council – promoted Fernando Garcia Miala to the military rank of general (since until then he was lieutenant-general).
The new SINSE boss takes over from commissioner Eduardo Filomeno Bárber Leiro Octávio.
