The Head of the Executive Branch granted an audience to the members of the National Youth Council (CNJ), chaired by the chairperson of the organization, António Tingão Mateus, in order to listen to the main concerns of daily base, to mitigate them.
According to the leader of the youth association, the Angolan Head of State heard the concerns and undertook to analyze them with attention.
According to António Tingão, the National Youth Council defends the approval of the Law of the National Youth Plan, in order to allow young people to benefit from the Government’s projects for the country's development.
Regarding the PRO-JOVEM project, the CNJ is in favor of the existence of the credit line, although there are elements of its operationalization that the organization does not agree.
The pro-youth project, under the guidance of the previous Government, had benefited from the Angolan Development Bank (BDA) a credit line worth 4 billion Kwanzas for the execution of 226 youth programs.
On that occasion, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula Sacramento, who witnessed the audience, reported that the Ministry works with the CNJ to review the situation of the pro-youth credit line.
He also said that the intention of the sector is to continue to implement the program of the National Youth Plan and, together with the youth, to discuss priorities.
