Angola slams Israel's violence against Palestinians

Luanda - Angolan government strongly condemned Tuesday the aggression of Israeli forces on Palestinians, calling on the parties for restraint and resume dialogue.

The Government’s stance is expressed in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Angola has been following up with great concern the latest developments in the Palestinian territory, added the source.  

According to the document, the violent situation in the territory undermines the efforts of the international community to ensure a process of negotiation based on UN resolutions that establish the existence of two States as the fair and lasting solution".

Israel and Palestine are entering a new stage in their conflict, exacerbated by the transfer of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The city which is described as crucial to the political stability in the Middle East is claimed as the capital of Palestine.
