President unveils satellite city in Uige

Uíge - Angolan head of State João Lourenço inaugurated Friday Quilomosso satellite city in the northern Uige province, as part of his two-day visit to the region.

Comprising 1,010 apartments, the housing project   will initially accommodate 4.500 residents.

The project foresees the global construction of 5.500 apartments.

The process for sale of the residences started last Monday.

The provincial governor of Uige, Pinda Simão, said that housing project will help improve the living conditions of the population.

Still, under the visiting programme, the head of State João Lourenço assessed the execution level of housing project and integrated infrastructure in Catapa, on the outskirts of Uíge city.
