Head of State arrives in Luanda

Luanda - Angolan Head of State João Lourenço returned Wednesday to Luanda after chairing the 2nd Session of the Local Governance Council (CGL) held in the central Huambo province.

President, João Lourenço, arrives in Luanda


The President was received at Luanda airport by the minister of National Defence Salviano de Jesus Sequeira, and the Vice Provincial Governor of Luanda Julio Bessa.

The deputy President Bornito de Sousa attended the CGL, which also gathered President’s Aides and the governors from the country's 18 provinces.

The meeting discussed various issues related to the management of the provinces and the improvement of the people’s living conditions.

High on the 48-hour visiting agenda is the 8th Ordinary Meeting of the Cabinet Council chaired by the President on Tuesday.

The Vice president, Bornito de Sousa, also returned Wednesday to Luanda.
