The diplomat presented on Wednesday, in Luanda, farewell greetings to the Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa.

At the end of her mission, Grace Uushona thanked the Angolan authorities for their support and attention during her eight-year term.

The Republics of Angola and Namibia have had official relations since 18 September 1990, the date of the signing of the General Agreement on Cooperation and Establishment of the Joint Committee.

The two countries cooperate in the fields of defense, industry, trade, energy, fisheries, public works, air and road transport, tourism, among others.

Political and diplomatic consultation at the level of international and regional organizations came to an end when the Angolan and Namibian Governments signed the memorandum on diplomatic consultations in 2009.

In October 2005, the two countries, which share more than 460 kilometers of border, between land and water, signed the visa-free agreement on diplomatic, service and ordinary passports.
