Luanda - President João Lourenço Monday congratulated Jair Bolsonaro on his victory in the second round of the Brazilian election, which elected him as president of Brazil the largest country in South America.

In a message to his counterpart of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Angolan Head of State expresses full conviction that his mandate will serve to boost the historical relations between the two countries.
In the note of congratulations, President João Lourenço hopes that the traditional ties of cooperation and friendship will deepen ever more for the development and social progress of the two peoples of Brazil and Angola.
Finally, the President of the Republic wishes personal well-being and successes "in the noble mission of Head of State that by choice of the Brazilian people was indicated to carry out".
Angola has strong historical, cultural and economic ties with Brazil.
Brazil has three credit lines with Angola to finance the export of goods and services.
It is estimated that there are 5.000 Brazilians registered in Angola.
On the other hand, the Brazilian Embassy in Angola grants 500 visas per week for Angolans who wish to visit Brazil.
