Vietnam extends cooperation with Angola
Luanda - Vietnam's ambassador to Angola, Nguyen Manh Cuong, said Friday in Luanda that his country intends to extend bilateral cooperation with Angola in the fields of agriculture and telecommunications.

The diplomat was speaking to the press, on the sidelines of a meeting with the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, with whom he analyzed issues related to the development of cooperation.
Currently, Angola cooperates in the areas of education, health, construction and equipment production with Vietnam, with whom it has relations since November 12, 1975.
The audience served for Nguyen Manh Cuong present farewell to the Angolan Head of State, after serving three years as ambassador of Vietnam to Angola.
Still on Friday, the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, discussed with the Mauritanian ambassador, Hamadi Sid Ahmed El Dekaye, issues of common interest, highlighting the situation of that country nationals living in Angola.
The number of Mauritanians living in Angola is around 5.000, most of them trader.
Similarly, President João Lourenço received the special envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for the Great Lakes Region, the Belgian diplomat Renier Nijfkenk.
At the end of the meeting, Renier Nijfkenk did not make any statements to the press.
Meanwhile, Angop has learned that the special envoy to the Great Lakes Region is leaving Luanda, bound for Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, to meet with the Congolese Head of State, Dennis Sassou Nguesso.
The Republic of Congo, through President Dennis Sassou Nguesso, holds the presidency of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR).
ICGLR was created in 1994, and groups Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic (CAR), Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia
The regional organization's mission is to resolve peace, security and humanitarian issues among member states.
