Pinda Simão praises nationalists' sacrifice

Uíge - The provincial governor of Uíge, Pinda Simão, praised the commitment of the heroes of February 4, who gave their lives and consented sacrificed for the achievement of the national independence.

Speaking during the event that marked the celebrations of the 58th anniversary of the beginning of the armed struggle, held in Makela do Zombo municipality, the official underlined that thanks to the sacrificial consent of the nationalists that the country became free of the colonial yoke.

"Our independence was conquered by the people with courage and sacrifice, through the long struggle and difficult in which they have been involved for several generations," he said.

Pinda Simão also spoke to the ongoing programs in the region to improve the living conditions of the population and highlighted the need to combat vandalism of public property.
