Angola, USA pledge to cooperate with reciprocal advantages
Luanda - Angola and the United States of America reaffirmed Monday in Luanda the commitment to strengthen cooperation relations with a view to obtaining reciprocal benefits.

This joint position was expressed by the two parties during the opening of the evaluation meeting of the "Strategic Partnership Dialogue" held Monday in the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the opening of the meeting, US Assistant Secretary of State John Sullivan expressed a desire to work for the prosperity of both countries.
The head of the Angolan diplomacy, Manuel Augusto, considered, at the meeting, fundamental the bet on the development of business partnerships in the common interest.
The Angolan official stated that the country favors a model of cooperation based on the promotion and expansion of political dialogue at the highest level, including issues on international politics.
He reaffirmed the willingness to create objective conditions for the rapprochement of business sectors as well as for the development of private or public-private partnerships.
Manuel Augusto considered the United States a strategic partner with which it cooperates mainly in the areas of petroleum, energy, human rights, trade, investment, health, security and finance.
The Angolan ministers of National Defense, Energy and Water, Tourism, Justice and Human Rights, Commerce participated in the "strategic partnership dialogue".
John Sullivan has been in Angola since Saturday for a two-day working visit as part of strengthening cooperation relations between Angola and the United States of America.
Trade between the two countries reached USD 3.4 billion at the end of 2017, with Angola exporting products valued at USD 2.6 billion and the United States about USD 800 million.
