Huíla: Caconda-Chipindo road construction work assigned
Lubango - The construction of 36 kilometers of the road of the 96 kms that connect Caconda to Chipindo, in Huíla, began on Friday with the assignment of the work to be carried out along the north bank of the Cunene River, part of the latter municipality, estimated at seven billion kwanzas.

Huíla: Works at EN-120 between Caconda and Chipindo

The works of the first phase of this road of the National Highway number 120, begun in 2013, benefited 58 kilometers of asphalting from Caconda, arriving at the river bank, and this phase now covers the Chipindo part, in the order of 36 Kilometers.
At the time of the consignment, the governor of Huíla, Joao Marcelino Tyipinge, said that the conclusion of this work is an important milestone in the life of the province, since it connects the axis of the so-called "corn triangle".
For him, the outflow of agricultural production will be a fact, as of March 2018, time scheduled for delivery of the contract.
Minister of Construction, Artur Fortunato, assured that the sector he directs will promote and create conditions for the maintenance of infrastructure.
"We are fulfilling what is stipulated in the law, which is to create conditions for the well-being of the population, and this way represents a major importance in this intention.
Currently the connection to the Chipindo is made by Kilometer 50, in the Cuvango, a route of 486 kilometers.
