Minister chooses environmental education as priority
Luanda - Environment Minister, Paula Francisco Coelho said Monday in Luanda that the training programs in the field of environmental education and the problem of basic sanitation in general are some of the priorities of her sector.

The official who was speaking during a presentation ceremony to the staff, pointed out that the collection and selection of solid waste, oil spills and the strengthening of sector policies related to flora and fauna are other priorities.
She indicated that she is going to make a verification of the infrastructures under construction for the implementation of the integration of Angola, through the department of the environment, at regional and international level.
The Ministry of the Environment is responsible for the coordination, design, and implementation and monitoring of environmental policies, in particular in the areas of biodiversity, environmental technologies and environmental impact prevention and evaluation.
The Minister of Environment and other members of the Angolan Government took office last Saturday, at a ceremony led by the President of the Republic João Lourenço.
