Saurimo - A feasibility study on silt removal from Muanguês river in eastern Lunda Sul province was presented by Catoca Mining Society.

Sludge threatens to isolate the eastern provinces of Lunda Sul and Lunda Norte.
Speaking at the meeting aimed at presenting the project, Catoca manager, Benedito Paulo, said
The process entails, in the first phase, the creation of support ramps to ensure conditions for better work.
The study also suggests plantation of bamboo and eucalyptus trees to strengthen the soils.
The governor of Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto, also attended the ceremony.
