This was told to ANGOP on Monday, in Ndalatando City, by the director of the provincial Infrastructures and Technical Services Department, Pindi Zacarias Dongala.

According to the official, the said programme started being implemented in May this year, with the mapping and delimitation of the land for the construction of houses in an area of 273 hectares.

The plots of land are expected to benefit those interested in building a house, with 300 and 600 square meters, with the top priority going to families living in risk zone.

Pindi Zacarias Dongala also said the programme is aimed at fighting against disorderly houses construction and remove the families dwelling in risk zones to safe areas.

According to data from the Civil Protection and Fire Services, there are 6,561 families living in risk zones in Cazengo municipality, which need to be transferred to safer zones.
