Over 2,000 animals vaccinated against rabies

Uíge – Health veterinarian services in the province of Uíge vaccinated 2,984 animals among them dogs, cats and monkeys from January to August, informed the chief of provincial department of veterinarian services, Abreu dos Santos Cumuelo.
Speaking to Angop, the source said that among the vaccinated animals are 2,799 dogs, 152 cats and 33 monkeys.
He explained that during this period were also vaccinated 2,543 heads of cattle against carbuncular symptomatic, haematic and dermatitis, nodular to avoid contagious disease.
Abreu dos Santos Cumuelo added that vaccination campaign was held in ten municipalities, namely Uíge, Negage, Púri, Sanza Pombo, Songo, Mucaba Quitexe, Damba, Maquela do Zombo and Bungo.
