Huíla: Unknown disease claims fifteen lives in Matala

Lubango - At least 15 people have died in recent days, victims of a disease so far unidentified, whose symptoms resemble those of yellow fever in the village of Camunhandi, Mulondo commune, in the municipality of Matala.

A team of technicians from the Ministry of Health, headed by the provincial director of the sector, Altino Matias, is in the locality, where he began work on Tuesday to identify the disease.

The victims are mostly children.

This is the first of its kind in the locality, located 200 kilometers off Lubango city.
