Mass Media Ministry coordinates nucleus of cholera combat activists

Luanda - The Ministry of Social Communication will coordinate action to create a nucleus of nearly 150 activists who will carry out house-to-house visits to raise awareness among families living in the vicinity of the Kilunda lagoon, under the program to prevent and combat cholera.

The information was released by the secretary of State of Mass Media, Celso Malavoloneke, at the end of an interministerial visit held today, Saturday, to the lagoon of Kilunda, commune of Funda, in Cacuaco, to evaluate the conditions of sanitation and means existing in that region, after a positive test of water with choleric vibrio.

He emphasized the great economic importance of the lagoon of the Kilunda for the riverside families, as it is a source of survival, not only for being a source of food, but also for the income obtained from the sale of fish.
