Angola at health strategies meeting
Luanda - An Angolan delegation led by Health minister Sílvia Lutucuta is attending from Thursday the 6th and 7th meeting of Committee A, addressing priority strategic issues in the health sector.

Health ministers of Angola and Portugal at the meeting in Geneva
The meeting is part of the 72nd session programme of the World Health Assembly focused on health issues, which include strategies and mechanisms for universal well-being.
The Thursday's programme includes participation in the coordination meeting of the African group.
Addressing a plenary on Tuesday, the minister said that Angolan Executive regards the primary health care as a priority for global development and social justice.
Sílvia Lutucuta said the vision and the goals shape the health as an essential factor in the overall development of the country and social justice.
She mentioned efforts to gradually ensure universal health coverage, secure equity in care, improve management mechanisms, offer ever-increasing quality permanent services, overcome geographical and financial barriers, with a view to eradicating poverty.
The Angolan Health minister is also due to attend the Executive Committee's election session, the health awards ceremony and the presentation of the report of the main committees.
The event, held under the motto "Universal Health Coverage: Leaving no one behind," will also review issues related to the importance of public health.
It will also approach the current status of the World Health Organisation budget, mobilisation of funds and adoption of draft Resolutions and Decisions from the 144th session of the WHO Executive Board.
