COVID-19: President extends State of Emergency
Luanda - President João Lourenço Thursday in Luanda ordered the extension of the State of Emergency in force in the country for another 15 days.

The State of Emergency had been declared on 25 March by President João Lourenço, being effective from 00h00 of 27 March to 23h59 of 11 April (Saturday), in line with the Constitution.
With the extension just announced, the period of exception will go from 00h00 of 11-25 April this year.

Luanda - Angola's Health minister Sílvia Lutucuta said Wednesday that the request of retired professionals of the sector owed to the need to strengthen the health units and quarantine and treatment centers of Covid-19.

Luanda - Angolan authorities have ruled out resorting as for now to any testing for a coronavirus (covid-19) vaccine in the country. According to the Angolan Health minister, Sílvia Lutucuta, there is no reason as yet for exposing patients to such a vaccine in the country that has until now reported as few as 19 positive cases of the pandemic.

Luanda - The number of infections with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in Angola rose from 17 to 19 in the last 24 hours, the Health authorities announced Wednesday in Luanda.
