Covid-19: Entities on duty recommended to perform testing

The recommendation was made by Police spokesperson, Waldemar José, during the daily data update ceremony held Saturday in Luanda.

So far, only the health professionals are complying with the above recommendation, he said.

“Henceforth we recommend that all entities travelling from Luanda to other provinces to perform covid-19 test and produce the medical proof to the police, said the National Police deputy-commissioner.

As one of the measure to halt the spread of pandemic, the high ranking police officer urged the citizens to avoid holding backyards parties with more than 25 people.

He regretted the fact that some Luanda-based zones continue to ignore the requirements.

As example, he mentioned the case of Kilamba Satellite city, in Luanda, where the restaurants are said to remain open above 10:00 pm, thus violating the Presidential Decree on the Public Calamity Situation that orders the closing at 10:00pm.

Angola’s covid-19 statistics show 346 infections, 108 recoveries, 19 deaths and 219 active patients, with six needing special healthcare.
