Covid-19: 39 new infections, one death and 38 recoveries

Luanda - Thirty-nine new positive cases of covid-19 have been detected in Angola in the last 24 hours, the Health authorities announced Friday evening in Luanda.

According to the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, the last 24 hours also reported one death of coronavirus and recovery of 38 patients.

Delivering the usual covid-19 update briefing with journalists, Mufinda said of the infections, four occurred in Soyo municipality, northern Zaire province, and one in eastern Moxico province. these are the first positive cases of covid-19 detected in those provinces.

The source added that the list of those newly infected include 28 males and 11 females.

With the new cases, Angola’s covid-19 figures show 1.144 positive cases, 52 deaths, 433 recoveries and 659 active patients.
