The control over pandemic is owed to the measures taken by the local Commission for Response to Pandemic, aimed to halt the spread of more cases throughout the region.
At this time the local health officials are engaged in active search of positive cases, the Commission’s spokesperson, Rubem Fátima, told a press conference at the local airport.
Efforts include working on identifying homes and families believed to contain the patients with positive cases, to ensure greater control of the disease.
