Covid-19: National Police strengthen awareness campaign

Saurimo - Motorcycle taxi drivers from Saurimo municipality, Lunda Sul province, were briefed today, Wednesday, on measures to prevent againt the Covid-19 pandemic, during an awareness campaign promoted by the Provincial Command of the National Police in the district.

The mandatory use of facial masks, social distancing, regular hand washing with soap and water and the use of alcohol gel, among other punctual measures in this phase of the Public Disaster Situation, deserved greater emphasis by the police personnel.

Speaking to Angop, the spokesman for the provincial delegation of the Interior Ministry (MININT), Florêncio de Almeida, said that awareness raising was being carried out in Portuguese and Cokwe languages, to facilitate the transmission of the message, and was taking place on the main streets of the city of Saurimo.

Means of individual protection, such as face masks, are also being distributed, stressing that the campaign is of a permanent nature.
